Kushi, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda and released on Friday, did well in its first weekend. According to a Sacnilk.com report, the Telugu film, which has also been dubbed in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, grossed more than 36 crore nett in its first week in theaters. Box office for Kushi
Kushi earned an estimated 11 crore nett in India on Sunday in all languages. On Friday, the film grossed 15.25 crore nett, with 14.7 crore in Telugu and 55 lakh in Tamil, respectively. Kushi saw a 35.08 percent drop on Saturday, earning 9.9 crore nett in all languages; the Telugu version earned 9.25 crore, while the Tamil version earned 65 lakh. According to early estimates, the film’s India total has now reached 36.15 crore nett in all languages.
About Kushi
Kushi was released on September 1st to mixed reviews. In Kushi, Vijay’s Viplav and Samantha’s Aradhya marry against their parents’ wishes and quickly encounter relationship problems, as well as insecurities, jealousy, and other issues.
Shiva Nirvana’s romantic comedy film also stars Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Ponvannan, and Murali Sharma in supporting roles. Mythri Movie Makers created the film.
The film was officially announced in April 2022, with the tentative title VD11, as it was Vijay Devarakonda’s eleventh lead role, before being renamed Kushi in May. The film’s production began in April 2022 in Kashmir and ended in July 2023. Samantha was diagnosed with myositis last year, so filming was halted.
Projects in the works for Vijay and Samantha
Following Kushi’s release, Vijay Deverakonda and his family visited the Yadadri Temple in Telangana. Vijay will soon be seen alongside Sreeleela in Gowtam Tinnanuri’s new film, tentatively titled VD 12.
Samantha, on the other hand, will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in the Indian adaptation of the action series Citadel. The series, created by Raj and DK, will be available on Prime Video.
