Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, will be released in theaters worldwide on Thursday. Jawan is expected to set an all-time record for Hindi films, according to the film’s first day advance booking numbers, as reported by Sacnilk.com. Furthermore, according to Manobala Vijayabalan, a film trade analyst, the Shah Rukh film has sold more than 7 lakh tickets in India on its opening day alone. 7 lakh tickets sold for Jawan’s first day
Manobala Vijayabalan took to Twitter or X on Tuesday and wrote, “BREAKING: Jawan Day 1 advance sales. 7 lakh tickets were sold. CROSSES a 20 crore gross mark across all Indian theaters. National Multiplexes alone sells over 3 lakh tickets on the first day… Jawan in two days…”
He tweeted the ticket breakdown: “National Multiplexes – PVR – 1,51,278, INOX – 1,06,297, CINEPOLIS – 52,615″ 3,10,190 tickets were sold in total. 11.98 crore in gross. All theatres in Delhi NCR – 54,238 – 2.57 crore. 2.08 crore for 50,701 people in Mumbai. Bengaluru has a population of 48,184 people and a GDP of Rs.1.84 crore. Hyderabad – 68,407 – Rs.1.66 Cr. 45,977 – 1.46 crore. Chennai has a population of 60,415 people and a GDP of $1.06 billion. All theatres in India sold 7,27,200 tickets. 20.06 crore gross [excluding blocked seats].”
In another tweet, Manobala Vijayabalan also shared the first-day ticket sales figures for Jawan at national multiplex chains in comparison to other Hindi films. He posted, “Top 10 first-day advance ticket sales at national multiplexes… Baahubali 2 – 6,50,000, Pathaan – 5,56,000, KGF Chapter 2 – 5,15,000, War – 4,10,000, Thugs of Hindostan – 3,46,000, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – 3,40,000, Bharat – 3,16,000, Sultan – 3,10,000, Dangal – 3,05,000, Brahmastra – 3,02,000.”
With almost two days left before its release and more than 3 lakh plus tickets already sold for Jawan’s first day in multiplexes alone, the film could potentially surpass the opening figures of Aamir Khan’s “Thugs of Hindostan” and Salman Khan’s “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.”
