Box office for Kushi

According to the report, Kushi had a Telugu occupancy of around 53% and a Tamil occupancy of around 45% on Saturday. The Telugu film was also released in Tamil and Hindi.

According to the makers, the film grossed 30.1 crore worldwide on Friday. The film’s opening day collection was shared by producer Mythri Movie Makers on its official page on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Blockbuster Family Entertainer #Kushi… Sensational Day 1 with 30.1 CR GROSS WORLDWIDE and a super strong Day 2 on the cards,” according to the post.

Kushi, directed by Majili director Shiva Nirvana, is Vijay and Samantha’s second film together, following the Telugu biographical drama Mahanati in 2018.

The Kushi plot

In the Kushi trailer, Samantha played Aaradhya, and Vijay played Viplav, who fall in love in Kashmir. They marry despite opposition from their respective families because their horoscopes do not match. But their marriage hits a snag as they deal with their differences before finally getting on the same page.

At the trailer’s premiere, Vijay said of his character, Viplav, “You know you’re Viplav and Aradhya (Sam) is your wife or girlfriend when you watch Kushi.” Vijay concluded, “Kushi is the story of any ordinary couple, and that is what distinguishes Kushi as a film.”

Vijay stated that he enjoyed working with Samantha and the director Shiva. “The entire process of shooting it will be one of my favorite memories forever,” he told ANI. Shiva and Samantha were the two people I spent the most time with, shared the most memories and highs and lows with, and formed the closest bonds with. I’ll always enjoy thinking about how this movie came to be.”
