Since its release, Gadar 2 has performed exceptionally well at the domestic box office. According to Sacnilk.com, it has finally surpassed the 400 crore mark. The film, directed by Anil Sharma, saw a slight drop in earnings on its second Tuesday. According to Sacnilk.com, Gadar 2 earned 11.50 crore nett on its 12th day in India, according to early estimates. The film’s first-week collection is 284.63 crore. On its second Friday, the film earned 20.5 crore, 31.07 crore on its second Saturday, 38.9 crore on its second Sunday, and 13.50 crore on its second Monday. Gadar 2 has grossed Rs. 400.10 crore since its release on August 11.

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel play the lead roles in the film. The sequel to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), in which Sunny played Tara Singh, a truck driver, and Ameesha Patel played Sakeena. The film is set during India’s partition in 1947. Gadar 2 follows Tara Singh as he crosses the border in a daring attempt to save his son, Utkarsh Sharma, who has been kidnapped in Pakistan. Sunny recently announced a special screening of Gadar 2 in London. The screening, organized by the Indian High Commission in London and its cultural wing, the Nehru Centre, took place on Monday at Vue Cinema Leicester Square. Sunny admitted that he was “scared” of making a sequel to an iconic film from 22 years ago, but the idea came to him during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown and “clicked straight away.”
