“One thing that remains enjoyable throughout is Ayushmann — whether as Karam or Pooja — he’s so good as to be true,” wrote the Hindustan Times in its review of the film. He is simply stunning in his scenes as Pooja, which thankfully are numerous. He captivates you with his body language, makeup, dance moves, and ability to speak in a feminine voice. I’m glad he never makes crossdressing vulgar, with the exception of a few scenes that were written poorly but performed well.”
