Winners of the 69th National Film Awards in 2023: On Thursday, the 69th National Film Awards were announced at the National Media Center in New Delhi. The ceremony, which will take place at a later date, will recognize the best Indian films produced in all languages in the calendar year 2021. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certified feature and non-feature films between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021, were eligible for competition.

Here is the complete list of 69th National Film Awards winners:

Rocketry wins Best Feature Film.
Godavari’s best director is Nikhil Mahajan.
The Kashmir Files was awarded the RRR Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration for providing wholesome entertainment.
Allu Arjun and Pushpa are the best actors.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the award ceremonies have been postponed by two years. The best Indian films released in the calendar year 2020 were honored at the 68th National Film Awards, which were held in 2022. Best Feature Film went to Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, while Best Director went to late filmmaker Sachy for Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Aparna Balamurali won the Best Actress award, while Ajay Devgn and Suriya shared the Best Actor award. The 67th National Film Awards honored the best Indian films of 2019, but they were held in 2021. Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea took first place that year.

The National Film Awards were established in 1954 and are overseen by the Directorate of Film Festivals. While the Marathi film Shyamchi Aai won the first-ever Best Feature Film award, the most awarded film in National Film Awards history is Lagaan, which received eight awards in 2002. In addition to the national awards, the event recognizes the best films in regional languages and bestows the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for lifetime achievement on industry legends. The previous year’s winner was superstar Rajinikanth.
