Advance bookings for Jawan

While advance booking for Jawan began 20 days before the film’s release in the United States, it has yet to begin in India. A few other theaters have also begun taking advance reservations for the film.

“Even before the Trailer launch, #Jawan crosses the $200K mark at the USA Box Office,” Manobala tweeted Monday morning. Advance sales: $210,339 [1.74 billion] 450 locations Shows – 1884 13750 tickets.”

While advance booking at major Indian theaters has yet to begin, most exhibitors have reported positive word of mouth about the film. On Sunday, exhibitor and trade expert Visheck Chauhan tweeted that fans are requesting 3 a.m. showings of the film in tier-two cities across the country. Raj Bansal, a film distributor and exhibitor, also tweeted, “After #Gadar2, I believe @iamsrk’s #Jawan will have round-the-clock shows in various cinemas across India.” His fans are extremely excited about the film. Good luck, Jawan.”

Jawan vs Pathaan

Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan’s most recent film, grossed $15 million in its first weekend in North America. Trade experts believe Jawan will break Pathaan records on the first day.

On Jawan, KJo?

When Karan Johar posted on his Instagram Stories that he had watched the trailer of the century, fans speculated that he was reacting to the Jawan trailer. Karan made no mention of the film’s title in his post. “I just saw the trailer of the century!!!! #iykyk,” he wrote on Twitter.

Fans quickly started a Reddit thread to comment on and speculate on the post. One of them commented, “Can’t wait for Jawan trailer.” “Wow…did Karan just praise Jawan?” said another.
